UPDATE: Carencro Heights Elementary Evacuated

UPDATE: The "all clear" has been given by fire officials, and it is safe to go back into the building.
9 o'clock hour:
Carencro Height Elementary has been evacuated because of a gas leak.
No one was injured this morning, but crews are working to figure out what the source of the leak is.
Lafayette Fire Department officials are investigating what is happening. They say the school is the source of the gas leak.
The children were taken to St. Peter's Catholic Church.
The Carencro Fire Department is on scene as officials are working to determine what happened that led to the leak.
