City Marshal Discusses Plans For His Office

Lafayette city marshal Reggie Thomas is working towards accreditation for his office and towards regaining the public's trust in the department following a number of scandals that led to the conviction of his predecessor. Thomas joined Bernadette Lee and Ian Auzenne on Tuesday's edition of Acadiana's Morning News to discuss the ongoing accreditation process, how he plans to regain the trust of the public at large, how he plans to help his department and law enforcement in general earn the trust of the Black community, and why he wants his office engaged in the community.
