Colorado Voters Deciding How To Tax Pot

DENVER (AP) — Colorado voters will decide Tuesday whether to approve a 15 percent excise tax on pot.

Some marijuana activists say pot should be taxed like beer, which has a tax rate of 8 cents a gallon.

The pot tax would pay for school construction and an extra sales tax of 10 percent would fund marijuana enforcement.

Marijuana use became legal in Colorado last year.
