It was election day in Acadiana and several candidates were in runoff elections for the job of a judge.

In the Division B 15th Judicial District race for judge, Valerie Gotch Garrett swept opponent Travis Broussard by garnering 70 percent of the vote. According to the Secretary of State's Office, the unofficial turnout for the race was 19.1%

In the Division D 15th Judicial District race for judge, Democrat Royale Colbert beat fellow democrat Amanda Martin with 56 percent of the vote. There was 19.4 percentage voter turnout for this race.

In the Division C Judicial District race for judge, a difference of 41 votes decided the race. Tommy Frederick edged out Ricky LaFleur by that margin, and unofficial voter participation was 14.9%

For the Division H Judicial District race for judge, Roger P. Hamilton Jr. won 58 % of the vote to beat Alicia Butler for the job. The unofficial turnout for the race was 19.7%

For the Division F Judicial District race for judge, Tony Saleme won the race with 60% of the vote to Natalie Broussard's 40%.
