Lafayette's longest running free outdoor concert series will be kicking off soon as the 2017 spring season of Downtown Alive! has been announced.

The bi-annual event gets kicked off on March 10th with Roddie Romero & the Hub City All-Stars and wraps up in early May with the Rayo Brothers.

This year there's a special edition of DTA! with Patty in the Parc on March 17th with Better Than Ezra and Wayne Toups playing that show. Tickets are on sale for $15 at Eventbrite.com.

All other shows are free for all ages. Smoking and pets are not allowed to encourage a safe and family-friendly event for all.

Food and drinks are sold inside the park, with proceeds help going to pay for the concerts. Concession sales each Friday night begin at 5:30pm with music getting cranked up at 6:00pm.
