It may be hard to believe, but early voting for the November 16 general election begins this Saturday, November 2.

Early voting will start this Saturday, and it will run through Saturday, November 9 with the exception of November 3 which is this Sunday.

If you are not sure what you will be voting for, you can visit the Secretary of State's website to get a sample of your particular ballot at http://www.geauxvote.com.

There is a runoff election for a handful of Lafayette seats on the new separate councils, and runoff election for Lafayette Mayor-President between Carlee Alm-Labar and Josh Guillory.

The runoff election for the governor's race is between incumbent Governor John Bel Edwards and businessman Eddie Rispone.

Early voting starts each day at 8:30 a.m. and wraps up at 6:00 p.m.
