It was in no hurry.

An Emu was to blame for a traffic delay in Alabama and the large bird was the subject of conversation for many once they got to work.

You can see the large bird just strolling down the road and as you'll see here, it was certainly in no hurry.

A number of drivers behind the bird had to wait their turn to pass the bird as oncoming traffic posed a challenge for many on the road.

According to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office, the Emu was last seen running into the woods near the highway.

We have no word if the large bird was ever captured near Odenville, Ala.

In south Louisiana we've our issues with alligators on the road, but never an Emu. Imagine having to explain why you were late for work or an appointment on this day.
