** Eunice Fire Update **

The Eunice Police Department says a weekend house fire that claimed the lives of three was intentionally set. They say a patrolman passing in the neighborhood saw the blaze then contacted firefighters. Once the fire was out, the bodies of a mother and her two daughters, age 16 and 8, were recovered from the residence. Investigators determined that 16 year old Julia Watford and 8 year old Jayia Watford were apparently shot by their mother 39 year old Carla Watford who then shot herself and then set the fire.
