Gulf Shores Announces Plans For New Beach Hotel

How many years has your family vacationed in Gulf Shores Alabama or somewhere close to Gulf Shores? Many of us have been visiting the "Redneck Riviera" so long we can remember when there was only one Phoenix condo building.  Well, the skyline of Gulf Shores is about to change again. This time with a new Embassy Suites Hotel.

City officials in Gulf Shores recently announced that a new 229 room mixed-use facility has been approved and construction should begin soon. The new hotel will feature a fine dining restaurant plus retail space for shoppers. The new Embassy Suites will be located at the corner of West Beach Boulevard and West First Street.

The new project is part of the city of Gulf Shores three-pronged planned to revitalize a stretch of public beach. The first two phases of that plan have already been implemented and the new hotel will be a major part of the final part of the plan.
