
I-10 Eastbound NOW OPEN After 18-Wheeler Fire At Butte LaRose (UPDATED)
UPDATE: La. State Police say Interstate 10 East at Butte LaRose has now been re-opened.
Troopers say the driver of the big rig drove off the interstate into a bridge and traveled down the road before truck overturned and burst into flames. The driver died in the crash and is not being identified at this time.

Louisiana State Police reports that an 18-wheeler crashed and caught on fire at around 5 o'clock this morning near the Butte LaRose exit. Our news partners at KATC report the crash has been ruled a fatality.
Trooper Brooks David says they are closing the eastbound lanes of I-10 over the Atchafalaya Basin.
Trooper David says that you will be directed to take Interstate 49 north up to the Opelousas area, where you can take US Highway 190 eastbound.
