I-10 WB Closed, Traffic Detoured Near Henderson

UPDATE: 5:45am Trooper Brooks David says cleanup continues, but it will take a while for traffic backups to clear up.

A crash involving an 18-wheeler will lead to some major backups this morning. Overnight, the big rig carrying wood hit a bridge in a construction zone. Louisiana State Police have been on the scene and managing the detour to US 190. Eastbound lanes remain open at this time, but slowdowns are expected. Give yourself some extra time if you're leaving Acadiana and headed toward Baton Rouge.
