What's the Weather Like In Southwest Louisiana this Weekend?

Friday

Friday kicks things off with thunderstorms and about a 79% chance of rain. That’s basically weather language for “yeah… it’s probably gonna rain.” Temps stay around 78, so at least it won’t be crazy hot. But it’s gonna feel sticky outside. That wet air where your shirt starts sticking to you before you even make it to the truck. This is indoor activity weather. Perfect day to hit a restaurant, hang out under a patio somewhere, or just stay home and listen to the rain hit the roof. And if you grilling Friday night… you better have a backup plan ready 😅

Saturday

Saturday… same story. High around 81 with thunderstorms hanging around again. This right here is one of them “wait 10 minutes and it changes” weekends. It’ll probably rain… then clear up… then rain again right when you thought you were safe. Honestly though… that’s just normal Southwest Louisiana living at this point. If you got baseball games, cookouts, fishing trips, or plans outside… don’t cancel them. Just be flexible. And maybe don’t wear your good shoes.

Sunday

Sunday finally backs off just a little with scattered thunderstorms instead of full-on storms. Still warm. Still humid. Still a chance you get caught in a quick shower while trying to enjoy your day. But honestly… Sunday looks like your best shot to sneak in something outside without getting completely soaked. Might still wanna keep a towel in the truck though. Just saying.

So here’s the official game plan this weekend…Don’t trust the weather. Don’t leave stuff outside. And definitely don’t forget the extra bag of ice for the cooler because once that rain stops… it’s gonna feel HOT.

That’s your Cajun Weekend Weather Report. We ain’t just telling you what’s coming… we telling you how to survive it in Southwest Louisiana.

Do Not Leave These Things in Your Hot Car in Louisiana & Texas

While you would expect most of this to be general knowledge, you'd be amazed how many people found out the hard way that there are some things you should never leave in a hot vehicle. Since we're knee-deep into another hot summer, it's worth mentioning to those who don't know.
