
Concerts & Events In Lake Charles & SWLA This Weekend Jan. 17-19
The weekend is finally here, and after a long week of work, getting the kids to school and home, cooking, paying bills, and doing everyday life, it is time to do something fun.
What are you in the mood for? A comedy concert? Live Music? Shopping? You can do any of these things this weekend in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana. Here is a list of live music, shopping, and concerts happening in the area this weekend for January 17-19, 2025.
Anjelah Johnson-Reyes AKA 'Bon Qui Qui' will be live In Lake Charles for a big comedy concert Saturday night. She will be at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center and the show will start at 8:00 pm.
The Twangsters Union will be live at the Horseshoe Casino located in Westlake, Louisiana on Saturday at 9:00 pm. They will be playing all your favorite old country hits.
Several Farmers Markets are going on Saturday morning in the area. One in Lake Charles located on Biblo Street by the old courthouse, one in Moss Bluff on Highway 378, and one in Westlake at Millers Super Saver on Sampson Street. All three markets' hours are from 8:00 am to Noon.
Doc Wilder will be live at The Terrace on Country Club Road in Lake Charles on Friday night. He will be playing from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The Jewel Of The Bayou, Leroy Thomas and his band The Zydeco Roadrunners will be live at Linda's Lounge on Lake Street in Lake Charles on Saturday night. Leroy and the boys will hit the stage at 10:00 pm and play until 1:00 am.
Get ready for some old-school music as The Drifters, Cornell Gunter’s Coasters, and The Platters will all be performing live at the Rosa Hart Theatre inside the Lake Charles Event Center on Friday night, January 17th. The show Friday night starts at 7:30 pm and you can get your tickets at the Lake Charles Event Center box office or ticketmaster.com.
Sunday Funday includes live music brunches all over the area. You can enjoy live music at Rickenjacks on Ryan Street featuring the band Zydecane. Luna's Bar & Grill in Downtown Lake Charles has a brunch with live music starting at 10:00 am, and Tia Juanita's Fish Camp has a jazz brunch starting at 10:30 am.
