Louisiana High School Rodeo Finals Back In Lake Charles
That's right Lake Charles, The Louisiana Junior High & High School Rodeo Finals has made its way back to Lake Charles, Louisiana to celebrate its 75th Year at the Burton Complex.
The National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA), which has membership from 41 states, five Canadian provinces, and Australia, is a charter member of which the LHSRA is a part. In the NHSRA, there are more than 12,500 students in grades six through twelve. Each event's top four Louisiana competitors will advance to the National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs, Wyoming later this summer.
Mike and myself got a chance to sit down and interview the Louisiana High School Rodeo Queen, Lydia Touchet, the High School Junior was born and raised right here in Southwest Louisiana. Along with being the LHSRA 2024 Queen, Touchet has just added another title to her name becoming the 2024 Girl’s Cutting Champion.
I can’t wait to cheer on my fellow rodeo competitors this week at the 75th Louisiana High School Rodeo State Finals, inside the Burton Coliseum.
Tickets are available HERE or can also be purchased one hour before each event at the East Side Entrance to Burton Complex.
