One of the most unique things you will ever see is coming back to Kinder, Louisiana, in June 2025 at Coushatta Casino Resort. It will all happen in Kinder, Louisiana, at the annual Coushatta Powwow returns for another year.

It is a family-friendly event full of live action, culture, and heritage and will take place in Friday, June 13th and Saturday, June 14, 2025 inside of the pavilion at Coushatta Casino Resort.

There will be Native American dance teams from across the country descending on Kinder for this two-day event. It will also include over 70 vendors with handcrafted one-of-a-kind Native American items.

According to the Coushatta website,

The Coushatta Powwow is one of the largest in North America and is truly a one-of-a-kind experience.

This is a family-friendly event offering a look at the fascinating culture and heritage of Native Americans.

The schedule of events for both days is as follows.

Friday, June 13th

  • 5:00 pm -- Gourd Dance
  • 7:00 pm-- Grand Entry

Saturday, June 14th

  • 10:00 am --- Gourd Dance
  • 12:00 pm ----Grand Entry
  • 5:00 pm ---- Gourd Dance
  • 7:00 pm ----- Grand Entry

Admission is $10 per day, and Children 6 years and under are admitted free. You can pay at the gate on the day of the event for the 28th annual Coushatta Powwow located at the pavilion and it is open to the public. Children 16 years and younger will need to be accompanied by a parent.
