But, for those new to this area, there's a little confusion when they are out extremely early in the morning and happen to visit a local convenience store, and discover a vast increase in guys wearing camouflage.

Well, allow me to explain. It's that time of year! It's hunting season!

Louisiana hunters have been taking to the fields dove hunting or hitting the water for Louisiana's early teal season which just ended yesterday.

However, beginning this Wednesday, October 1, here in Area 2 of Northwest Louisiana, archers will be treated to the annual Archery Deer Season.

Then this coming Saturday, October October 4, we'll see opening day of squirrel season here in our part of Sportsman's Paradise!

But, with the arrival of hunting season, we see many different (sometimes very unique) types of personalities and traits for these hunters as they make time to enjoy their passion in the woods or on the water.

So, for all our hunters, those who have hunted here for decades, and for those who have just moved to the Bayou State and will soon begin their first hunting season here, we've decided to point out some of the more humorous of those "types" of Louisiana hunters for you.

Of course, the woods and water will be crawling with all the "normal" guys and girls, but because they are so "normal" they are almost boring.

Here in the Sportsman's Paradise, we love to hunt! We'll hunt birds, squirrels, raccoons, deer, ducks. We even hunt frogs! And these are some of the "off the beaten path" types of hunters you'll find in Louisiana.
