Texas Is Getting a Margaritaville Hotel with an Adult Waterpark
(KNUE-FM) After a recent announcement adults in Texas will have a new place to have some fun here in the Lone Star State. According to KHOU, the Hilton hotel near the Johnson Space Center was just sold to Margaritaville and they will be doing an entire brand change soon.
The hotel was bought by the Houston-based Ayshire Corp. for $27 million.
Fun Features for Adults at Margaritaville Texas
The new owners of the hotel have discussed turning the top three floors of the 14-story hotel into condominiums. But the fun part begins when you hear about an “adult waterpark” with a lazy river and swim up bar.
There are lots of hotels and resorts that cater more toward kids and making sure they have activities to enjoy their stay. But it’s nice to hear about a hotel that is geared more toward adults.

Hotel Room Changes and Condos Planned
As mentioned, the new owners will turn the top three floors into condos, which will bring down the number of hotel rooms to 170.
Beyond the changes to the rooms, the new owners will also work to double the size of the current ballroom at the hotel to help its transition into a convention center.

When Will Margaritaville Texas Be Ready?
It’s exciting to hear about a new Margaritaville themed hotel to open here in Texas, although adults eager to try out the lazy river will have to be patient because I didn’t see a date when the project is expected to be completed.
