The Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana is reaching new heights—literally. On Thursday, April 10, at 11:00 a.m., the Tribe will host a special Topping-out Ceremony at the construction site of its latest hotel expansion at Coushatta Casino Resort (off Highway 165 (I-10, Exit 44) in Kinder, LA. It wasn't that long ago that the resort held the groundbreaking ceremony.

This ceremonial event marks the placement of the final steel beam atop the new hotel—a major milestone in the expansion. Before the beam is lifted skyward, it will be signed by construction crews, Tribal members, project leaders, and other dignitaries in a moment of unity and celebration. A cake-cutting ceremony will follow, and yes—the public is invited to witness it all.

“The final beam leaves a lasting symbolic mark on the structure,” said Crystal Williams, Interim Chairwoman of the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana. “It represents teamwork, dedication, and our Tribe’s commitment to growth. This new hotel is just the beginning of many exciting things to come.”

The new eight-story hotel will boast 204 luxury guest rooms, directly connected to the existing resort and just steps from the casino floor. Once complete, the total guest room count at Coushatta will surpass 1,000, unlocking more job opportunities and upgraded experiences for visitors and locals alike.
