I don't know of any holiday or any other time of the year when people go out of their way to be scared out of their minds. I personally love the costumes, the costume parties, and of course Trick or Treating. However, I am not much for haunted houses, at least not in person.

I will watch stuff about ghosts and haunted attractions on TV all day long. Going in person...nah. Mind you, I'm the Black Sheep in the family when it comes to stuff like that. All the youngsters ( the 20 & 30 somethings) as I like to call them, love that kind of stuff. To each his own, I don't knock them for being thrill seekers.

It's all part of the many fun ways to celebrate Halloween afterall. This time of year is full of great events for adults and kids to enjoy locally and throughout the Bayou State. From traditional Fall Festivals that feature arts & crafts, food, and music, to haunted tours, cornfield mazes, trails and hay rides,  escape rooms, costume parties, and haunted hotels. Louisiana is certainly a good place to be if you are looking for haunted locations! Here are some creepy Halloween events to enjoy around the state this year:
