Legendary Motown singer Smokey Robinson is facing serious legal trouble, as four former employees have filed a civil lawsuit accusing him of alleged sexual misconduct, labor violations, and creating a hostile work environment.

The lawsuit, filed on May 6, 2025, in Los Angeles Superior Court, was first reported by the Rickey Smiley Morning Show. Houston's FOX 26 reports that the suit includes claims of sexual battery, false imprisonment, and gender-based violence.

People.com reports the plaintiffs, listed as Jane Doe 1 through 4, allege that Robinson’s behavior spanned from 2007 to 2024. One woman claims she was sexually assaulted over 20 times. Another alleges Robinson offered her money for sexual acts.
