Felony Arrests In Nacogdoches County May 10th – May 16th

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office makes many arrests daily, all of which end up in the Nacogdoches County Jail. This report finds only the felony arrests still in jail at the time of the report.

Today's report finds the worst type of felony offender, child sex offenders and traffickers. Lamar Dion Daniels, 40, of Nacogdoches, is being charged with six counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child and three counts of first-degree trafficking of a child under 18 years old.

According to KLTV, he was arrested on Monday and is being held without bond. This indictment lists crimes that happened between 2012 and May of 2013.

Daniels Could Get A Life Sentence For Sexual Assault Of A Child

No word in the indictment about why over 12 years have passed, and they are just now putting him behind bars. If he is found guilty of these crimes, the first-degree charges carry a sentence of up to life.

The nine felony charges could land him in jail for a very long time.

Family Of Slain Nacogdoches 19-Year-Old Find Relief

Rakeem Keshawn Rocquemore, 23, of Nacogdoches, was recently arrested for the murder of 19-year-old Jeremiah Warren. According to KTRE, the family has had a feeling of relief when Nacogdoches PD arrested him in the case.

Warren's body was found behind an apartment complex. Officers arrived on the scene after residents called about gunshots.

The indictment says Rocquemore fired a gun "in the direction of an individual," causing Warren's death. He claimed that he shot Warren while fleeing the scene of another felony described as deadly conduct.
