Hundreds of Flights to and from Dallas Cancelled
SHREVEPORT, LA – The ice and snow forecast for north Texas and Louisiana is causing some headaches at one of the nation’s largest airports. Hundreds of flights at Dallas Fort Worth have been cancelled.
Dallas’ Love Field is also impacted by these storm delays or cancellations.
As much as 6” of snow could impact the Dallas region today. This will cause some serious problems for folks trying to get in and out of the Dallas metro.
Flightaware reports there are a total of 962 cancellations today at Dallas-Fort Worth Intl: 962.
Across the U.S. the website reports more than 1400 cancellations are expected. This is already causing a trickle-down effect.
How Many Shreveport Flights Are Impacted?
Flightaware says there are 21 cancellations or delays at Shreveport Regional. Mark Crawford tells us only 8 flights have been cancelled so far. He says it is always best to check with your airline to get the most accurate information.
Cancellations are not the only problem across the nation. There are more than 5 thousand flights delayed today. Most of these delays are related to the weather.

Dallas Love Field Spokesperson Patrick Clarke tells Fox 4:
"All hands on deck as we speak. We have our snowplow sweepers ready to go tomorrow. We also have our anti-icing and de-icing agents ready. We have been working around the clock. We have crews coming in, staying overnight actually in anticipation of what mother nature might send our way."
At DFW, they are urging travelers to check your flight status before venturing out to the airport.
