Shreveport Police Arrest 2 in Separate Domestic Incidents
The Shreveport Police Department have 2 men behind bars for domestic violence.
Last Thursday, SPD were called to Huntington Lane. A woman told Police that her live-in father of her child hit her in the leg with his fist and left a nasty bruise. She said it happened during a heated argument between the two.
SPD found out during the investigation that the woman had a protective order against her child's father LeeQuinton Bryant, the man who she said punched her. Bryant was arrested for violating a protective order, domestic battery, and 7 outstanding warrants.
The next day, Police were called to Avon Avenue.
The woman claimed that her brother, Eric Hughes picked up a wooden chair leg and hit her so hard in the leg with it that it caused a bleeding wound. Hughes did not stick around for the Police to get there and SPD started to search. They found Hughes nearby but when they tried to stop him he ran away. An Officer finally had to pull his taser to bring Hughes down.
Hughes was arrested for resisting an officer and aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon. He was also found to have five outstanding warrants.
