Shreveport Police Arrest Man for June Murder

Shreveport Police have made a key arrest in the fatal shooting that took place on June 29, 2025, at the Lifestyle Apartments. The incident tragically resulted in the death of 24-year-old Zauntravious Davis and left two other people injured, including a two-year-old child. 

Investigation Leads to Arrest 

Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit have charged Jeoffrey McKenzie with several offenses:

• Second-degree murder
• 2 counts of Attempted Second-Degree Murder
• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

McKenzie has a history of prior arrests, including charges for armed robbery, kidnapping, and felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

The Shreveport Police Department remains dedicated to getting justice for the victims and their families. This investigation is ongoing, and detectives are actively looking for anyone who has additional information about the crime.
