There Is a Double-Decker Bus That Is Bound to Catch Your Eye in Jefferson
It's not every day that you spot a double-decker in town, so I made my way over to find out what was going on, and to my delight, this place was churning out some of the most unique cupcakes and milkshakes I've seen in a while. Red Bus Cupcakes has a fun menu showcasing delicious cupcakes, ice cream, banana popsicles, and cupcake milkshakes. Is the secret to the best milkshakes homemade ice cream? That is what one resident claimed, so we will take their word for it.
The staff was so friendly and when I asked them if I could go inside and see the upstairs, they smiled and opened up the doors without hesitation. I wasn't the first person to try and party on the second level of a double-decker; in fact, the staff claims that they host parties of all kinds upstairs and now my birthday party plans are made.
This bus has a name: Meet Miss Kitty. Miss Kitty is a Bristol VR3 and was built in Bristol, England in 1981. This bus has had some life; in fact if you go to the website, you can see every single job she had. The driver of Miss Kitty, Alan Davis has provided so many photos and stories of all the epic places this bus has been on. In 2014, Miss Kitty was bought by a limo company in Rhode Island, Massachussetts, and made the huge trek to the States. Several auctions later the bus was purchased and turned into a wonderful bus serving up happiness in the form of dessert.
