Papion’s Creole: New Downtown Spot Opens March 15th
Downtown Shreveport lost a delicious pizza spot in September 2024. The sudden closure of Pop N Pizza left many residents upset. I will forever remember walking from my apartment to pick up some dinner and finding that the place was just closed. Since then, the building has remained empty, waiting for someone to come and show some love to the perfect little corner of Texas and Marshall Street.
One Downtown Baker Is Expanding Her Food Empire
If you love unique cakes, you may have seen Ashley's Tiers of Love cakes all over town. The baker set up shop in downtown on 420 Marshall St and has been thriving. The owner of Ashley's Tiers of Love isn't just a baker; she's a beast in the kitchen, making some delicious lunch specials, and now, she's bringing life to the empty corner building on 500 Texas Street. Papion's Creole Bistro opens for business on Saturday, March 15th.
Papion's Creole Bistreaux Will Take Over the Old Pop N Pizza Spot
If you work or play downtown, you know how exciting it is to hear that we are adding a new spot for lunch. If the food at Papion's is anything like the lunch specials at Ashley's Tiers of Love, sign us up for every day ending with a Y. The owners claim that they won't take any custom cake orders for several months to focus on the new restaurant.
Papion's Creole Bistreaux just jumped into the growing list of lunch options downtown. Shreveport has Ono's Hawaiian, Abby Singer's Bistro, The Noble Savage, The Missing Link, Bon Asian Cafe, and The Blind Tiger. We love seeing action happening in Downtown Shreveport, and who doesn't love some great food options right?
