NBA Superstar Continues To Give Back To The East Texas School He Credits For Jump Starting His Career.

Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler was born and raised in Houston and scrapped and clawed his way into the NBA and along the way he made a stop to Tyler Junior College.

Since entering the league, he's become one of the games premier superstars and while he's currently making headlines as the talk of a possible trade, he's giving back to the Apaches in a major way.

The Miami Heat forward secured a Li-Ning uniform and sneaker sponsorship deal for Tyler Junior College.

In a video posted to Li Ning's Official Instagram account, the school where Butler played his first season of college basketball will be getting some fresh new uniforms and sneakers courtesy of Butler and Li Ning.

Butler spent the 2007-08 season with Tyler Junior College averaging 18.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 29 games. He then transferred to the Marquette Golden Eagles, spending three seasons there. The Chicago Bulls selected him at No. 30 in the 2011 NBA draft.

Butler signed with the Chinese sportswear company in November 2020.

The new uniforms include his logo that appears on his signature Li-Ning shoes and the team is also set to wear Butler's signature sneaker line, the Li-Ning JB3. We don't know if the TJC shoes will be available for the general public to purchase as of yet.

The six-time All-Star is currently averaging 19 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists in the midst of swirling trade rumors but despite it all, he continues to not forget his roots which is a beautiful thing to see in this day and age.
