Lubbock Police officials have reported that there is a large police presence in South Lubbock on Thursday afternoon.

Shots Fired Call In Lubbock

According to the Lubbock Police Department, reports of shots fired were reported at about 3:23pm in the 6900 block on Genoa Ave. One person is reportedly in custody according to a press release.

There is currently a large LPD presence in the 6900 block of Genoa Avenue following reports of shots fired which came in at 3:23 p.m. At this time, we can confirm one person is in custody. This call for service did involve an off-duty LPD officer. No injuries have been reported at this time. There is no reason to believe at this point the off-duty officer fired any shots.
