(KTDY) - If you love a good airshow, you willl enjoy some of the clips below that show the famous "Blue Angels" practicing for their upcoming show.

Many who flock to the Gulf Coast for the summer are often greeted by the Blue Angels, who are stationed in Pensacola, Florida, and once you catch a glimpse of them, you're addicted.

Recently, we took a fishing trip in Pensacola, on the bayside, and as we were navigating across the bay, we noticed that the Blue Angels were in the air, so we headed their way.

For approximately 30 minutes, we just sat there and watched the jets perform aerial stunts and fly-bys, which never seemed to get old.

Blue Angels 2026 Airshow

The pilots were practicing the stunts they will perform at their upcoming show on July 18-19, 2026, in Pensacola, a massive event on the coast.

At times, the jets were so close to us during this practice round that we could actually see the pilots, and their sound was thunderous.

A hint, if you are on the beach this summer, you can often catch a glimpse of the Blue Angels on Sunday as they return home from shows around the country.

Blue Angels Practice Dates

Here's the schedule for more practice rounds in the Pensacola area: June 16, 17, 23, 24, 30. The practice rounds usually last about 45 minutes and start around 10:30 am. If you are in the area this summer while on vacation, I highly recommend taking the time to witness these aerial stunts.

Other practice dates this Summer and early Fall are as follows:

  • July: 1, 21, 22, 28
  • August: 26
  • September: 1, 9*, 15, 22
  • October: 14*, 20, 28*

Note: the asterisk indicates the dates that pilots sign autographs after their practice round at the National Naval Aviation Museum.
