Baby Emmy from Lafayette, Louisiana is battling cancer and she was allowed to throw out the first pitch at a recent UL Softball game.

Emmy was escorted onto the field by her parents in an adorable red dress while wearing a large white bow and with her pacifier in her mouth.

Her parents tell me that she was diagnosed in July 2023 with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma Cancer. Since then she has gone through five rounds of chemo and antibodies, two Bone Marrow Transplants, and 13 rounds of radiation.

She still has five rounds left of immunotherapy! But as of now, Baby Emmy is about 99% cured with still a little fight left to go.

As you may imagine this journey has not been easy, but allowing this little to have her day at UL was not only special for Emmy, but for her entire family.

Now, if you'd like to contribute to Emmy Quebedeaux and her foundation, Moving Mountains for Emmy Foundation, you can purchase a raffle ticket for a drawing being held on June 29th.

Up for grabs is a beautiful Yamaha Sports Golf Cart and tickets can be purchased at Service Chevrolet in Lafayette.

We've been following Emmy's battle and we are so excited to see that she is getting closer to beating cancer. Again, this is why this station is a huge supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and this is why we ask you to become a Partner in Hope each year for our radiothon.

Take another look at Baby Emmy warming up before her big day at UL.
