Family Looking Lafayette Teenager On The Run

(Lafayette, Louisiana)  - The family of Jackson Smith needs your help in locating their 15-year-old son.

UPDATE: Jackson is back home safe, and his family thanks everyone who shared this story and photo.

Jackson was last seen on August 27, 2026, and according to this family, he is 5’8” and 135 lbs. The young man has brown hair and brown eyes.

Some reports suggested that Jackson may have been in the area of Red Lerille's Health & Racquet Club in Lafayette, but his family now believes he may be in the Maurice area.

Jackson's dad, Brian Smith, said his son was wearing black pants, a white shirt, and white shoes the last time he was seen.

His family is pleading with him to contact them to let them know that he is okay. If you know Jackson's whereabouts, please call the Lafayette Police Department or Jackson's father, Brian, at 337-886-5030.

All of Jackson's family wants is for him to return home safely, and they say the more people share his photo and description, the better their chances of getting their teenager home.
