Former Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards Trolls Gov. Jeff Landry
(Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - If you've been following the chaos at LSU, you know that Governor Jeff Landry is very much involved with what's happening on the campus in Baton Rouge.
While LSU closes in on selecting a new university president, it is also looking for a new head football coach and athletic director. LSU terminated Brian Kelly after an embarrassing loss to Texas A&M, and Scott Woodward walked out as athletic director at LSU.
Those tied to the university say that Woodward decided to walk away from LSU after Gov. Jeff Landry stated that Woodward would have no say in hiring a new football coach.
Landry jokingly stated that he would prefer President Donald Trump to select the new LSU head coach, and those words apparently did not sit well with Woodward, who some say was next in line to be fired by LSU.
Since then, Gov. Landry has appeared on various shows to defend his words and even retract some, so it is no surprise that many fans on social media are blaming the chaos at LSU on Gov. Landry.
Knowing that, former Gov. John Bel Edwards seized the opportunity to throw his name into the chaos at LSU by reminding fans that while governor of Louisiana, he was there at practice, having fun with LSU.
Edwards reminded fans of the "good times" at LSU while chaos currently ensues by sharing this video on social media. Yes, timing is everything on social media, and the former governor is quite aware of that.
After a quick search on the social media platform X, here's what we found a few fans saying about Gov. Jeff Landry's involvement at LSU in recent days.
Then there's Ryan Clark, who once played at LSU and now works at ESPN. He unleashed on Gov Jeff Landry while on the popular show "First Take." Here's what he had to say, not just about Landry being involved in LSU Athletics, but also about the proposal of a statue on campus of Charlie Kirk.
