Louisiana Will Have to Check Laundry Detergent for Recalled Packages
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, several different kinds of laundry detergent packages are part of a recall. The packages were sold at a variety of different stores like Walmart and CVS among others.
Due to a problem with the zipper seal on the bags, they can come apart releasing content that can be hazardous to children.
The manufacturer asks you to check your lot number, and if yours is in the recalled category you should immediately transfer the product to an airtight container that is away from children.
Several brands are impacted and they are as follows:
Tide Pods
Gaine Laundry Packets
Ace Pods
Ariel Laundry Packets
Because the recall covers several different types of detergent under each product name, Proctor and Gamble officials are asking you to visit their website to see if your particular brand of detergent is impacted.
The recall impacts 8.2 million detergent packs and boxes. You can get a refund for your purchase and they will provide you with a free replacement child-resistant bag.
