Acadiana Parents Show Off Elves in Homes for Holidays
(Lafayette, Louisiana) - The holidays are here, and my parents are reporting that the naughty/mischievous Elf is back, too.
Yes, the "Elf of the Shelf" is back in homes across South Louisiana, and some of the Elves are already causing trouble. As we get closer to Christmas, at times, these Elves can become a nuisance in the house, and at times, they often create a mess.
And while parents often despise the Elf in their homes, kids love them. We recently returned home from a Thanksgiving getaway, and "Elfie" was sitting on the mantel. Our 6-year-old SCREAMED with excitement when she noticed who had returned for the holiday season.
Since then, llike the Elf in your house, "Elfie" has been showing up in the most random places and, at times, even creating a mess.
I must say, after our talk about how expensive things are these days, like food and toilet paper, he's been getting better; however, there are times when I wake up and shake my head after I see what "Elfie" has gotten into.
Recently, we asked parents to submit photos of the Elf in their home for the holidays, and by the looks of it, many of you are dealing with the Elf that enjoys creating a mess, too.
Check out some of the photos of Elves acting up in homes across Acadiana. And yes, it's okay for moms and dads to admit that you can't wait for the Elf in your home to leave with Santa in the weeks ahead.
