Video Shows What It Was Like to Shop in Sears During The 1980s
(KTDY) - There was once a time when people actually looked forward to walking through stores to shop, and this video will take you back to the 1980s.
One of my favorite stores to visit as a kid was Sears because of all the "cool" things you'd see there. As you'd walk through various departments of the store, you'd find stuff you saw in a movie or in a television ad, and that item was within reach.
When walking through stores like Sears, you'd also come across people, and at times, that was as entertaining as the shopping.
Now, if you're llike me, you may still find time to walk through your favorite store(s), and I do encourage you to shop in stores and not always online. There's still something magical about walking through the aisles of stores and finding things you weren't even looking for.
So, if you miss the days of shopping in the 80s, let's take a quick trip down Memory Lane and see what it was like to shop at Sears in the 1980s. Not only will you appreciate some ot the items in the store in the 80s, but be sure to check out what people were wearing while out shopping.
Wasn't life in the '80s slower and more nostalgic than it is now? From appliances to sewing machines to games, if you miss the 80s, you will forget that decade even more after seeing what it was like to shop at Sears in the early 80s.
Hey, while we are looking back on time, why don't we take a look back at school in the 80s? Not only will you recognize the big hairstyles, but you will also remember when students wore what they wanted, and there were no school uniforms.
Like walking through Sears in the above video, walking through the halls of high school in the 80s was an experience like nothing else. Turn up the volume on the video below, and enjoy what school once looked and sounded like.
