
Vandals Do Extensive Damage to South Louisiana Church
(St Landry Parish) - Authorities in St. Landry Parish are looking for those who are responsible for damaging a Catholic Church in South Louisiana.
The St. Landry Crime Stoppers Facebook page reports that St. Ann's Catholic Church, off Highway 190, was damaged on Saturday, 11-29-2025.
Several stained-glass windows were broken at the church, and upon further investigation of the property, more items were found damaged by vandals.
St. Landry Crime Stoppers says:
"Upon further inspection, the following additional damage was noted on the outside of the building: broken PVC plumbing pipes, broken electrical outlet, broken concrete sewer lids, broken spotlight in the front of the church, and cracked glass on the side door of the church."
It is estimated that vandals caused $6,500 in damage to the church located near Opelousas.
