Arc Of Acadiana Bead Drive

For over 15 years the Arc of Acadiana has held its Bead Drive as part of its mission for "all people with developmental disabilities the opportunity to develop, participate and live life to their fullest potential".

KATC reports that the Arc of Acadiana Bead Drive 2023 is now in full swing, and you can help!

Every year Arc of Acadiana cleans, sorts, and resells all of the beads donated.

It's also important to make sure we get beads picked up from around town so they don't clog up storm drains.

Chelsea Guidry, Program Manager at Arc of Acadiana tells KATC they have dropoff points throughout Acadiana in Lafayette, Abbeville, New Iberia, and more.

LOOK: Here are the pets banned in each state

Because the regulation of exotic animals is left to states, some organizations, including The Humane Society of the United States, advocate for federal, standardized legislation that would ban owning large cats, bears, primates, and large poisonous snakes as pets.

Read on to see which pets are banned in your home state, as well as across the nation.
