Big Weekend of Events Planned in Downtown Lafayette
LAFAYETTE, La. (KMDL-FM) — Downtown Lafayette is kicking off spring with a packed weekend of events designed to bring people together through music, art, food, and community.
Downtown Alive! Kicks Off the Weekend
The weekend kicks off Friday night with Downtown Alive!, presented by Evangeline Maid, at Parc Sans Souci from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. This week’s featured act, Braziliana, will bring a mix of global sounds and rhythms to the stage. Local vendors, including Bayou Bao, The Local Lemon, and Amis Grocery, will also be on hand.
Fitness and Art Take Over Saturday
Saturday offers a mix of wellness and creativity in the heart of downtown. Fit Fête Fusion takes over Parc Sans Souci from 5 to 9 p.m., encouraging people of all fitness levels to get active and connect.

At the same time, downtown businesses will host the monthly Second Saturday ArtWalk, turning the area into an open gallery. Visitors can explore local art, meet creatives, and experience the city’s growing arts scene.
Bach Brunch Wraps Up the Weekend
The weekend wraps up Sunday with a new twist on a longtime favorite. The Bach Lunch Series returns Sunday with ‘Bach Brunch,' happening from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Parc Sans Souci. The event will feature live music, food, and a laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere.
