Man Proves Louisiana Gas Station Food Beats Out U.S. Restaurants

We've heard it said, and have said ourselves countless times; Louisiana has better food at our gas stations than other States best restaurants.

It's one thing for us to say it, but what about people from out of town?

One man on TikTok Foodie visiting Louisiana put us to the test, and according to him...we're absolutely right about our delicious gas station food.

Recently, the folks over at lovefood.com compiled their of America's Best Gas Station Restaurants.

Not surprisingly, Louisiana took 7 out of 40 spots on the list.

Louisiana gas stations are famous for having food that’s way better than you’d expect, and it all comes down to the state’s love of good cooking.

Even gas station owners want to show off their Cajun and Creole roots, so you’ll find things like boudin, gumbo, and fried catfish that taste like they came straight from someone’s kitchen at home.

One TikToker by the name of didnt_suck recently found out first hand how great our gas station cuisine can be, and now he's a believer.

Mike's Food Mart Garyville, Louisiana

Mike's Food Mart in Garyville, Louisiana located in St. John the Baptist Parish is where this TikToker foodie stopped to see if Louisiana's gas station food is indeed better than other State's restaurants.

As you'll see in his video review, he tried the crawfish etouffee and crawfish bread.

With his first bite of the crawfish bread, he knew the rumors are 100% true.

He couldn't believe how the great the food was, from a gas station.

So, not that we needed confirmation, but it's 100% true...Louisiana's gas stations indeed have food as good as or better than other State's best restaurants.
