LSU Star Blocked from Buying Home – Were ‘Alabama Fans’ Responsible?
(KMDL-FM) For the people who "Live Purple, Love Gold," you don't have to explain the disdain that's prevalent anytime anyone mentions a certain university located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. You see, there is a bit of "feud" going on between fans of the LSU Tigers and the bumpkins that back 'bama.
And while the genuine disgust that both fan bases have for each other reaches a fever pitch during football season, the hard feelings lessen after an athlete or athletic supporter has graduated from college and moved on to bigger and better things.

One of those successful LSU Alumnae is Livvy Dunne. You probably know her more for her exploits on social media than you do for her amazing gymnastic abilities while at LSU, but if we're being honest, she did very well for Tiger Gymnastics, and she's still doing extremely well with her social media channels.
The fact that her main squeeze is also an LSU favorite, former pitcher for the Tigers, Paul Skenes, seems to paint this pair as the perfect "Purple and Gold Power Couple". You'd think with their notoriety and cash flow, there wouldn't be anything on the planet they couldn't get if they wanted it.
Why Were Livvy Dunne and Paul Skenes Denied a New Home in New York?
Well, apparently, money can't buy everything, and according to a social media post from Livvy, one of the things her money and Paul's money can't buy is an apartment they wanted to buy in New York City.
But this isn't just any apartment. It comes with history attached. Livvy explained on her TikTok channel this way.
If you watch the video, Livvy explains the "most likely reason" that she and Paul were denied the chance to purchase the apartment, but we couldn't help but snicker at the really quaint and cute shade that she throws in the general direction of Alabama.
What Famous Baseball Player's Apartment Did Livvy Dunne Want to Buy?
Actually, I do feel bad for Livvy and Paul. I would imagine living in Babe Ruth's old apartment for a baseball player would be the stuff that dreams are made of. But this dream will have to find another location to settle down. But it might be hard to find a three-bedroom apartment with 2.5 baths on the Upper West Side that comes with priceless historical value.
If you were wondering, the apartment is valued at $1.59 million according to an article in the New York Post. And if you watched the video, you heard Livvy say she was "going to pay cash". I just want to know where, in her very form-fitting outfits, will she find a place to stash that large wad of cash?

And one more thing, was it really Alabama fans that denied Livvy the purchase of this dream apartment? Probably not. The reason I say that is this. There are very few sports fans in New York City who understand the rivalry between LSU and Alabama.
And, there are even fewer Alabama supporters who make enough money to be able to afford to sit on a NYC Apartment Co-op Board. Most of the 'bama grads are handling the cleaning and maintenance.
