Opelousas High Roller Hits Big Jackpot at Beau Rivage
(KMDL-FM) According to our sources at Beau Rivage along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, there was a big win for a Louisiana player over the weekend. The player was playing slots in the high-limit room of the casino when the machine hit for a jackpot payout of $160,000.
What Kind of Slot Machine Were They Playing When They Won the Jackpot?
Our sources close to the story say the player was spinning a $200 bet on the $100 denomination Triple Double Dollars Machine. From what we understand, the player had been playing for about 90 minutes when the jackpot landed.
The Triple Double Dollars slot machine is one of the IGT S2000s classic reel slots. It is unclear what jackpot combination the player hit to win the big money. It is also unclear if the player had been spinning $200 wagers the entire time they were playing the machine.

This certainly is not the largest jackpot a Louisiana player has earned playing at the casinos on Mississippi's Gulf Coast. In January of this year, a Baton Rouge player scored a 1.132,124.00 win on a Wheel of Fortune Machine. And on May 29th, a player from Metairie, Louisiana hit for over $180,000 on Luxury Line Buffalo.
Louisiana Gamblers Have Multiple Jackpot Wins Along the Mississippi Gulf Coast
Also, another player from Houma, Louisiana hit for $119,741 playing Magic Pearl Lightning on May 24th of this year. We should note that all of those big wins for Louisiana players came inside the Beau Rivage facility.
According to AOL News, the jackpot totals from the Mississippi Gulf Coast already top more than $5.7 million, with the largest single win being the Baton Rouge player's win of over $1 million earlier this year. The big win for the Opelousas player was the 27th jackpot of $100,000 or more at South Mississippi casinos so far this year.
