LOUISIANA — One of the easiest ways to enjoy the summer heat is by staying in or near a body of water at all times, but we aren't talking about the Bayou Teche.

While kayaking on the Teche is always a fun activity to do with a group of friends in the summer, when it comes to swimming and soaking up some vitamin D, the beach is what comes to mind first for most Louisiana families.

Partly because there are beaches just a couple of hours away from us, making it a quick and easy option that doesn't break the bank.

The one downside of spending time on a beach that you often hear people complain about is the sand, well, that and sharks, but we don't have a hack for avoiding sharks other than just staying close to your beach chair.

We do, however, have a cheap hack for knocking that pesky sand off that has been passed down by Cajun grandmothers for generations, but somehow we just learned about it.

If you haven't heard of the baby powder sand hack, your mind is about to be blown.

POV: You Found The Easiest Way To Get Sand Off At The Beach

Whether you find yourself at a Galveston beach, Holly Beach, or Destin, you will want to have this easy hack in your arsnoel especially if you have kids.

All you need is baby powder and a sock.

Simply fill the sock with baby powder or sprinkle it on your skin that has sand stuck to it and use a fluffy brush or your hand to brush the sand away effortlessly.

This hack also works without the sock. Just pour the baby powder directly on the area you want to remove sand and wipe it off.

Obviously, rinsing with water is always the best option, but sometimes you don't have access to water right away, and this will come in handy.

Check out the video below to see how easy this baby powder hack is.
