WGNO is reporting that a mother in New Orleans wants answers after her child was attacked at a daycare she attends.

According to the New Orleans news station, the attack happened at Angel’s Haven Daycare on South Claiborne Avenue.

Cymande Ford, the mother of the child, said she was horrified when she saw the face of her 19-month-old child.

When the pre-school director called Ford to come to the school after the incident, she says that she thought her child was attacked by a cat.

However, the pre-school says that Harley, Ford's daughter, got into a "tussle" with a 1-year-old who attends the same facility.

In addition to the scratches on her face, Harley reportedly suffered several bites to both of her arms.

WGNO reports that a report was filed with the New Orleans Police Department, and the Department of Children and Family Services.

The incident at the daycare is currently under investigation.
