KLFY is reporting that a man on TikTok is scamming local people out of their money.

According to their report, the man says that he is homeless and living in a “filthy” motel.

The local news station also says that they are told the person who is allegedly scamming people makes up to $6k a day and is using the money to live a very comfortable lifestyle.

The man who is identified as the "scammer" also says that he needs money to help feed his dog, which is allegedly with him in a motel.

In the report, people say that they have donated money to the person asking for help on TikTok, only to later see him in designer clothing.

We dug into the social media app and found that the alleged scammer does have multiple pages and is even seen out on vacation. We should note here that in one video he says that is aware of his account being reported.

As always, you should always be very careful when it comes to donating money to people on social media.

Do your homework and make sure that the person(s) you're helping is in need, and remember to never use a credit card to donate money to those asking for the assistance online.

KLFY News says that they have reported this to the Lafayette Police Dept and that they are now looking into the accusations.

We will not identify the person accused of such, nor link will we link his social media pages in this story.
