School Bus Driver in Louisiana Accused of Smoking Marijuana While Driving Bus

A school bus driver in south Louisiana is being accused of smoking marijuana while on her bus route.

WAFB reports that the East Baton Rouge Public School System is investigating accusations that a bus driver was smoking marijuana while driving the bus on February 9, 2023.

The Baton Rouge news station reports that family members of the kids on the bus accuse the driver of speeding, driving erratically, and smoking marijuana while driving the bus.

The accusations against the school bus driver come while kids were aborad on the bus.

WAFB posted this response from the school district:

"It has been brought to our attention via a social media post of an alleged incident of marijuana use during a bus route to a school this morning. This allegation has not been verified and is currently under investigation. Please be assured that the health and safety of our students is our top priority."
