ALEXANDRIA, La. (KPEL News) – Wiretaps, surveillance, and a Houston-to-Louisiana meth pipeline—what started as an undercover investigation has ended with nine convicted traffickers facing a combined 79 years behind bars.

Federal agents dismantled a major drug ring operating in Avoyelles Parish, revealing a network that funneled methamphetamine from Texas into communities across central and south Louisiana. The FBI Central Louisiana Gang Task Force, working alongside the Louisiana State Police, uncovered the operation through months of wiretapped calls, drug deals, and coordinated surveillance.

Now, nine individuals—including ringleaders from Alexandria, Marksville, and Baton Rouge—have been sentenced in federal court, marking a major victory in the fight against organized crime and drug trafficking.
