Louisiana Man Robbed at Gunpoint in His Own Home
A Carencro, Louisiana man says that he was robbed in his own home and now his guns and vehicle are missing.
KLFY-TV 10 spoke to the victim, who wished to remain anonymous, and he told the news station that he heard a noise in his home on July 4th, and that is when he confronted the alleged robber.
The victim thought that it was a relative in his home, but when he realized that it was not a family member in his home a brief altercation ensued between the homeowner and the robber.
During the altercation, the victim tells KLFY-TV that the robber pointed a gun at him and that is when the suspect fled from the home.
According to KLFY, two or three guns were taken from the home and the victim's vehicle was stolen. Neither have been located.
The victim in this case shares his story to remind others to remain vigilant and to always secure their property and possessions.
The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office is leading this investigation.
