According to the latest Thanksgiving weather outlook from the Farmer’s Almanac, residents in the South-Central U.S. should prepare for a mix of rain and snow this holiday.
A significant cold front is expected to follow, bringing a sharp drop in temperatures.
This weather shift could impact travel plans and outdoor festivities, so planning ahead is essential.
Obviously, it should come to no surprise that Louisiana is not one of that states that will be getting snow on Thanksgiving day, but we could be seeing a slight drop in temperatures for turkey day.
Some forecasts are calling for not one but two cold fronts to push through Louisiana Thanksgiving week, one before Thanksgiving, and another after.
The weather experts at KATC TV 3 are forecasting the weather in Acadiana for Thanksgiving day as scattered thunderstorms, 42% chance of rain, with a high of of 71 degrees and a low of 45 degrees.
According to KATC, Black Friday will be much chillier weather with the highs only reaching 59 degrees, and the lows dipping all the way down to 37 degrees.
As we are well aware in South Louisiana, the weather can change drastically within a day or so, so at this point nothing is really set in stone.
