Texas Lottery Confirms Massive Mega Millions Win Tuesday Night

The Texas Lottery has confirmed more good lottery luck for Texas players in Tuesday's Mega Millions multi-state lottery drawing. The game, Mega Millions, is a favorite among Texas Lottery players and has produced a $3 million win in San Antonio and a $1 million win in Lubbock in the past six months or so.

Last night the Mega Millions game boasted an estimated annuitized jackpot of $301 million. The lump sum or cash option for a jackpot winner was estimated to be $140 million for a ticket that matched all five of the white ball numbers and the Mega Ball.

Mega Millions has not had a jackpot winner since a ticket sold in Arizona claimed a jackpot valued at over $113 million in January of this year. If you missed the drawing last night, here is how it unfolded from the offices of the Georgia Lottery in Atlanta last night.

Our sources at Mega Millions did confirm that no tickets sold across the game's footprint matched the numbers needed to take home the jackpot prize of $301 million. There was a ticket sold in California that matched all five of the white balls in last night's game. That ticket is worth $1 million to its owner.

As far as Texas Mega Millions luck goes, the state had its share of lucky players. Our sources at the Texas Lottery confirmed that 37,982 tickets sold in Texas for Tuesday's drawing earned money back for the players who purchased them. Of those 37,982 winners, 15,715 tripled their money by invoking the Megaplier option in the game.

We have been made aware of two tickets sold in Texas for Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing that matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball. By rule, those tickets are worth $10,000 and one of those players opted for the Megaplier so their winnings will be $30,000
