A Lafayette man has been arrested on a charge of Home Improvement Fraud after officials with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office say the man is accused of not fixing damage to a victim's home.

The victim alleges that Warrick Boudreaux was contacted in 2019 for some home remodeling work. They made a deal. The victim gave Boudreaux money for the materials and labor.

Officials say the victim's complaint states that Boudreaux allegedly hit a water line under the victim's home while doing floor repairs. Boudreaux claimed he would fix the problem. As the two went back and forth, Boudreaux then claimed he couldn't finish the work because materials for the job were stolen from her property.

The victim continued to try to get Boudreaux to repair the damage, but their communication only broke down further.

Boudreaux's bond was set at $7,500.
